The HIPAA Compliant Transaction Bridge for 837 Professional Claims |
|
 |
|
Your EDI Solution . . . . . The HIPAABridgeŽ EDI Application
This HIPAA transaction compliant EDI software application can provide a bridge from your PMS and its current non-compliant HCFA1500 claims to HIPAA compliant ANSI X12N version 4010A1 (Addenda) 837 Professional Standard Transactions.
|
|
How it works . . . . .
For any provider with an existing Practice Management System, HIPAABridgeŽ can import HCFA1500 claims directly from the PMS using our custom Import Processor templates and eliminate any re-keying of existing claim information. Additional user configurable import options that are provided will bridge-the-gap between the 33 data blocks found on a typical HCFA1500 claim and all additional required data necessary to generate an
equivalent HIPAA compliant 837 Professional claim.
During import processing, automated HIPAA business rules (validations) are applied to each claim to ensure HIPAA transaction compliance and accuracy prior to transmission to the appropriate insurance Payer. Any errors can be corrected and revalidated prior to transmission using correction forms provided
by the
HIPAABridgeŽ
application.
For any provider without a Practice Management System, manual claim entry forms are provided to enter all claim specific information for immediate validation by HIPAA business rules as defined in the ANSI X12N 837 Professional Implementation Guide.
These HIPAA compliant claims can then be transmitted electronically to over 1000 insurance carriers nationwide. You can choose from one of the EDI "transmission intermediaries" that we recommend to route your transactions to these carriers using
their transmission HUB - a little or no cost to you, depending on which one you choose. Or if you prefer, you can use any other "transmission intermediary" of your choice. |
